ARC-8 // SERIES: MARBLE

GLOBAL ALLOCATION: 1000

A geologist once told me that marble begins its life as ordinary limestone.

Nothing remarkable.

Nothing rare.

Then the mountains begin to move.

Pressure builds for thousands of years.

Heat follows.

What was once fragile slowly becomes something entirely different.

Not because it escaped the weight placed upon it—
but because it endured it.

I have often wondered whether people change the same way.

Perhaps character is not discovered in moments of comfort.

Perhaps it is quietly crystallized by everything we believed would break us.

Time has a peculiar habit of turning pressure into permanence.
